Foxford

Foxford started with humble beginnings in 1892 by Mother Agnes of The Convent Of The Divine Providence who with a considerable loan from the Congested District Board, worked together with the local people of Foxford to get the mill up and running. Over the years, the mill encountered a terrible fire that burned it to the ground and suffered at the hands of Ireland’s textile industry, but continued to strive with the help of the local people. Nowadays with Irish designer Helen McAlinden, Foxford Mill is modernised and produces the warmest woollen throws in a variety of designs and colourways.
